Fable & Mane is committed to clean and conscious formulas that are 100% vegan and cruelty-free for a beautiful mane, mind and world. We set ourselves apart by working with only the best fragrance houses to develop safe formulas with a combination of natural and synthetic ingredients. False advertising has led us to believe that natural is less toxic than synthetic fragrances, while it is in fact the opposite. Many natural ingredients have chemicals, which may become toxic allergens when applied to skin. In addition, the land required to harvest the raw material is not a long-term sustainable solution, so we try to avoid using only natural ingredients. It also gives our Parisian nose the creative freedom to use non-animal-derived ingredients such as synthetic musk, developing a unique and memorable scent for a long lasting experience without being overpowering. Finding this balance is key for our products to function in harmony. Our scents are designed to transport the wearer to a divine place. We respectfully comply with the IFRA standards of safe ingredients, while always reviewing developments in fine fragrance that can awaken our senses.
Formulated with your wellness in mind, our HoliRoots Hair Oil features a divine and awakening scent, crafted by the world's best creative perfumer in Paris: Madurai, an utterly sublime fragrance, fit for the gods. The majestic top note of almond is soon touched by freshness from the beautiful Indian jasmine sambac and woven into a precious red champaca, transported from the Indian temples. The heart mesmerises with patchouli, neroli oil and petitgrain, as the rich and unforgettable warmth is composed from a base of cedarwood and tonka bean. Our HoliRoots Shampoo, Conditioner and Mask feature the scent, Kerala. Inspiring a notion of wanderlust, reminiscent of the generous Indian nature, the fragrance opens with coconut water for a beautiful freshness, a dash of cardamom and altogether balanced by juicy papaya. The heart introduces a stunning element of flora from the tiger orchid and Indian jasmine sambac, coupled with rice milk for an unexpected allure. Yet, it is the base of cedarwood, vanilla and coconut milk that elevates this scent to addictive warmth, making it one that is truly transporting and utterly exquisite.

Fable & Mane is committed to protecting the wild and will never test on animals. We are proud to be certified cruelty-free by PETA. As a cruelty-free brand, we do not incorporate animal testing into our development phase or at the production level. We do not provide authorization to any third parties to perform animal testing on our products. In addition, we do not retail within any country that requires animal testing.

Our Brand

It was a book of fables, the Panchatantra, where we discovered amazing tales of the forest; animals depicted as cosmic forces, goddesses, the relationship between man and the wild. In the same manner as these fables, we too want to inspire people to touch their roots and be one and at peace with nature. However, our wildlife today faces a serious problem. The number of wild animals is set to fall by two-thirds this year, the primary cause being the clearing of forestland for animal feed and human poaching. We can no longer simply iron out our problems: healthy hair needs a healthy planet. Our mission is to create a world of harmony that unites through hair. Your help will go towards preserving forests and helping endangered animals thrive.
The tradition and reputation for India being the country that masters thick, healthy hair is more alive than ever. Hair is a big production, representing 75% of India’s beauty industry, which is the number one export of hair for weaves and extensions. A young girl in India even holds the Guinness World Record for the longest hair on a teenager at 190cm (6ft 2in). So, how does hair grow so fast? Traditionally, Asia is a conditioning continent where both men and women oil their hair before shampooing, continually proving that frequent oil massages modify certain physical characteristics, including the diameter of hair and lowered loss of vital proteins. The stories of India live on through the Panchatantra, the original Aesop’s Fables. Our fable takes place in the heart of India, going back 5,000 years, with the tiger as the guardian of harmony between the forest and life on our planet. The tiger stumbles across nature’s beauty secrets, using herbs and plants to heal wounds. Despite its harsh environment, the tiger’s hair is strong, healthy and thick like a mane. Since we have forgotten our roots, it seems it is only in the wild where species are connected to nature, able to successfully coexist and heal with plants. Every mane tells a story and we want to hear yours.

Fable & Mane HQ is based in London, our founders’ birthplace and home, and inspired by the wisdom of India. Travelling every summer to California with a passion for the wellness lifestyle led our founders to work with some of the best and sustainable labs in haircare. Though we currently manufacture in the USA, our spirit is global and borderless.

Orders

Please email us at [email protected] as soon as possible if you would like to cancel or change your order. Our fulfilment centre processes orders quickly, but we’ll do our best to process your request. Unfortunately, once your order has been processed, we cannot change any order information. Please ensure the correct postal code is entered and if you are in an office building, please add your company name to avoid your package being sent back to us. If you have accidentally entered the wrong address, this can delay the package by up to 4 weeks but the postal service will eventually return the package to us.

At this time, we are required to charge sales tax in many states throughout the US. If sales taxes are mandated to be collected in your state, they will be calculated at checkout.

Returns & Exchanges

We make every effort to ensure that your purchase arrives to you in perfect condition. Should you experience a problem with your order, please contact us at [email protected] and we will do our utmost to resolve any issue. If you would like a refund or exchange on your online order, please be sure to email us within 15 working days of delivery and include your order number and reason for return. As long as products are returned in the same condition they were received (tamper seals remain in place and the goods are in a re-sellable condition), we will be happy to refund or exchange. We are unable to refund any postage costs incurred. Please email [email protected] and we will provide instructions on how to return your goods.

Shipping & Delivery

Please note that all import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item, shipping and handling costs. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with the customs office in the destination country to determine what these additional costs will be before proceeding with your purchase.   EU customers: Potential import taxes and duties may be added to your order at customs. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer assistance on these processes but we advise you to see first the implications and thresholds with your local tax authorities before purchasing.

Due to the current situation, please note there may be significant delays in delivering your order. We charge a flat rate of: - £3 within the UK. We use Royal Mail, which takes approximately 2 to 3 working days to deliver. - $5 (USD) within the US. We use USPS, which takes approximately 1 to 3 working days to deliver. - $15 (CAD) in Canada. We use FedEx, which takes approximately 1 to 3 working days to deliver. - 6€ in the following European countries: Ireland Republic, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, Russia, Norway and Switzerland. We use Royal Mail, which takes approximately 2 to 5 working days to deliver. We are working on bringing Fable & Mane everywhere around the world. Please note we may use other shipping carriers such as FedEx, UPS and DHL at our discretion. Delivery to some remote addresses may require up to 2 additional days.
